The right booking format

A direct journey or an hourly chauffeur?

A point-to-point journey usually suits a fixed destination. When the day includes several stops, waiting periods or timings that may move, hourly service keeps the itinerary together without requesting each stage separately.

Hotel, restaurant, appointment or home

The pickup, destination and timing are agreed in advance. This works for private travel as naturally as a journey to the office, an evening engagement or a return to the hotel.

Remain flexible between several stops

For hourly service, share the expected duration, known stops and likely waiting periods. The chauffeur then remains part of the schedule even when appointments do not finish to the minute.

Prepare longer journeys properly

Alongside journeys in Frankfurt and Rhine-Main, FRALIMO reviews longer routes according to the itinerary and availability. Passenger and luggage numbers help confirm the suitable class from the Mercedes-Benz fleet.

FRALIMO Field Insight

When hourly service was the better fit

FRALIMO field review · published and updated 11 July 2026

For 1 or 2 fixed destinations, point-to-point service was usually the better fit. From 3 destinations onwards, or when an appointment had no dependable finish time, hourly bookings recorded 53.7% fewer post-confirmation changes in FRALIMO's review.

217 journey profiles

The review covered 154 point-to-point and 63 hourly bookings with 1–7 destinations after pickup.

With no more than 2 fixed destinations, both formats recorded a median of 0 post-confirmation changes. Simple hourly bookings reserved a median of 120 minutes for 42 minutes of actual use.

53.7% fewer changes

Within the complex group of 111 journeys, point-to-point bookings averaged 1.18 post-confirmation changes and hourly bookings averaged 0.55.

Average schedule revisions fell from 0.64 to 0.35 per journey, added destinations from 0.16 to 0.11 and later extensions from 37.5% to 9.1%. Both groups recorded a median of 1 clarification message.

Reserved time as deliberate availability

For complex point-to-point journeys, median planned and actual durations were 143 and 161 minutes. Hourly bookings recorded 240 and 233 minutes.

The median period of reserved availability was 80 minutes for point-to-point service and 117 minutes for hourly service. That time deliberately kept the chauffeur available for meetings that ended early, ran late or led to another destination.

The suitable booking format depends on the confirmed route and expected duration. The findings describe the reviewed profiles and do not guarantee an unchanged itinerary.
