FRALIMO Field Insight

How long passengers needed from landing to meeting

FRALIMO field review · published and updated 11 July 2026

Across 96 structured arrival profiles, the median time from actual landing to meeting the chauffeur was 40.5 minutes. The range was 15–110 minutes. Luggage, travel zone, terminal and disruption status all affected the pickup plan.

96 profiles from 9 June to 10 July 2026

There were 12 profiles for each terminal, travel-zone and luggage combination. The sample also included 48 name-sign requests, 64 monitored flights and 8 unusual disruption cases.

Flights arrived a median of 7 minutes late, with a range from 27 minutes early to 83 minutes late.

31 minutes with cabin luggage and 49.5 minutes with checked luggage

Cabin-luggage profiles had a median of 31 minutes and a range of 15–61 minutes. Checked-luggage profiles had a median of 49.5 minutes and a range of 34–110 minutes. The difference was 18.5 minutes.

The medians were 35 minutes for Schengen profiles, 49.5 minutes for non-Schengen profiles, 37 minutes at Terminal 1 and 43 minutes at Terminal 3. Ordinary arrivals recorded 40 minutes and the 8 disruption cases 70 minutes.

The planning buffers were 25 minutes for Schengen with cabin luggage, 45 with checked luggage, 40 for non-Schengen with cabin luggage and 60 with checked luggage.

Median 10 minutes without and 3 minutes with monitoring

The 64 flight-monitored profiles covered the same arrival variation from 27 minutes early to 83 minutes late. Excluding unusual disruption, the median difference between planned pickup and actual meeting was 10 minutes without monitoring, with a range of 1–27 minutes.

With active monitoring, the median fell to 3 minutes, with a range of 0–15 minutes. This was a 7-minute improvement.

Active monitoring is available on request when a flight number is supplied and operational availability permits. It is not automatic with every airport booking.

The buffers are starting points, not guaranteed meeting times. The separate 15-minute waiting allowance begins from the agreed pickup time.
